Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday said a driver has been caught speeding and driving a dump truck and trailer dangerously. He had no licence.
He was caught at 7/12 Highway and Scugog Line 4.
“This morning traffic officers stopped this dump truck and trailer at 131 km/hr in a posted 80 km zone. The truck was seen weaving in and out of traffic making it unsafe for other road users and failed to stop for police,” said a police tweet.
The 31-year-old unlicensed driver and his employer face numerous tickets and vehicle seized – Speeding, Stunt Driving, Fail to Stop for Police, Drive Commercial Veh -No Licence, Careless Driving, Vehicle Modified – No Permit, it added.
