Durham Region Health Department yesterday said 232 cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the region since February 29, 2020.
The count on April 4 had stood at 221 cases.
Of the 232 cases so far, 33 are hospitalized. There have been 15 deaths.
Durham Health yesterday updated the community-wide breakdown with the highest number of cases [69] in Oshawa followed by 52 in Ajax and 39 in Whitby.
To date, there have been 34 people diagnosed with Covid-19 who have recovered from their illness, Durham Health said.
