Durham Covid Update: Total cases cross 60,000

Durham Health yesterday added 279 new Covid-19 cases from April 26 to April 28, taking the region’s tally to 60,208 since the count began on February 29, 2020.

The total case count had stood at 50,241 in January, 53,117 in February and 56,061 in March.

Durham Health has put the overall death toll to 473.

March toll in the region stood at seven. Twenty-three people died from covid in February, and 31 in January.
