More sex assault victims open up against restaurateur

A 64-year-old Ajax male is facing additional sexual assault charges after more victims have come forward, according to Durham Police.

The DRPS Special Victims Unit commenced an investigation in March, after a 16-year-old victim came forward with allegations of a sexual nature against the suspect. The suspect, a manager/owner of a Pickering restaurant on Kingston Road, is alleged to have inappropriately touched the victim in the workplace, said a police statement.

Since then, three more victims have come forward with similar allegations.

Investigators arrested and charged the suspect with sexual assault. He was released on an undertaking. Name and further details at www.drps.ca.
