At the end of December, the total case count had stood at 35,663, at 50,241 in January, and 53,117 in February, according to figures posted by Durham Health.
Durham’s overall death toll stands at 445 with 240 long-term care (LTC) deaths.
Recoveries stand at 53,607. However, there are 335 active covid cases. Figures for hospitalizations and Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and people in home isolation, were not available.
Durham Health reported the highest overall number of covid cases so far in Ajax, with Oshawa a close second.

Of the 81 reported deaths in Ajax, 34 were in LTC
Of the 72 reported deaths in Whitby, 33 in LTC
Of the 82 reported deaths in Oshawa, 43 were in LTC
28 deaths were reported in Clarington, four in LTC
28 deaths were reported in Uxbridge, 21 in LTC
18 deaths have been reported in Scugog, 14 in LTC
4 deaths have been reported in Brock
