Oshawa opens new Downtown Action Plan for feedback

The City of Oshawa is calling on community members to share their feedback on the future of Downtown Oshawa.

It is offering respondents a chance to win one of three $50 gift cards.

Plan 20Thirty will reflect Downtown Oshawa’s current needs and will replace previous downtown action plans and recommendations while maintaining the same overarching goals to improve and promote the area as a unique experience for working, living, going to school, shopping, dining and entertainment, said a city statement.

Downtown residents, businesses, stakeholders, and visitors are invited to provide their feedback on Downtown Oshawa and the future of the Oshawa’s Urban Growth Centre by visiting Connect Oshawa (ConnectOshawa.ca/Plan20Thirty) to complete an online feedback form or on paper at Service Oshawa, located at City Hall.

As a thank you for your participation, those who complete the feedback form will have a chance to win one of three $50 gift cards to a Downtown Oshawa culinary or retail establishment of your choosing, within the Plan 20Thirty boundaries! Full prize conditions and details are available at Oshawa.ca/Plan20ThirtyFeedback, said the statement.

Feedback will be received until noon on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 and will assist city staff and the Plan 20Thirty Committee in developing the final Downtown Action Plan which will be presented to City Council in the second quarter of 2022. All individual responses will be anonymous and will only be used to summarize overall feedback.
