Durham’s very own K9 Flex upholds the law

 Even law offices are no more safe from robbers, but then break-and-enter suspects are not safe either from the canny K9s of the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS).

Durham Regional Police Service K-9 Unit yesterday revealed that the night before PC Handscomb and K9 Flex teamed up to locate a perpetrator who had broken into a law office.

After numerous undefined “K9 Challenges”, Flex was deployed to search the office.

Flex promptly apprehended the suspect hiding behind the furnace, police said.

One person was taken into custody, it added.
