Elderly Male Robbed in Hotel Room

An elderly male was robbed by a 29-year-old woman on Sunday in his Beaverton hotel room, according to Durham Police.

On September 8  at 8:40 am., an 86-year-old male was in his hotel room when the accused female knocked on the door. He opened the door and she pushed past him, telling him she needed to use the washroom.

As he tried to make her leave, the accused pushed the victim to the ground and robbed him of personal belongings then fled the scene in a waiting vehicle. The victim received minor injuries.

A responding officer observed the vehicle a short distance away and was able to arrest the female without incident.

Trisha Cook, age 29 of Simcoe Street in Brock, is charged with: Robbery and Fail to Comply with Probation. She was held for a bail hearing.
