Oshawa-Union Station GO train every 15-minutes

Ajax: A GO train will run every 15 minutes between Oshawa and Union Station in Toronto from September 3.

Fifteen new GO train trips are being added each week to increase midday and weekday service along the Lakeshore East line.

“When fully in-service, GO Rail Expansion will provide GO customers two-way, all-day GO service, with trains every 15 minutes or better between Oshawa and Union Station on the Lakeshore East line,” said Caroline Mulroney, Minister of Transportation, at an event in Ajax yesterday.

Phil Verster, President and CEO of Metrolinx, added: “If you need to leave work a little earlier or you want to head into the city for an evening out, there are now more ways to do that using GO Transit.”

Quick Facts

  • Starting September 3, 2019, all stations along the Lakeshore East line will have more midday trip options from Monday to Friday to get GO customers where they need to be.
  • New weekday eastbound trips leaving Union Station at 2:58 p.m. and 3:28 p.m. will serve all stops to Oshawa GO, arriving at 3:56 p.m. and 4:26 p.m.
  • A new weekday westbound trip leaving Oshawa GO at 4:48 p.m. will serve all stops to Union Station, arriving at 5:50 p.m.
  • The existing 1:52 p.m. train from Oshawa GO that runs express to Union Station on weekdays will now leave one minute later at 1:53 p.m., and stop at Whitby, Ajax and Pickering GO before running express to Union Station, arriving at 2:46 p.m.
