The driver who fled from the scene of a collision with a pedestrian in Bowmanville yesterday, has come forward, said a DRPS statement.
“The investigators thank the public for the information. [The] Pedestrian sustained minor injuries,” it said.
Durham Police earlier sent out a message on social media saying they were looking for a light coloured SUV which was involved in a fail to remain at Liberty and King Street in Bowmanville.
The vehicle struck a pedestrian early this morning and the driver fled in the car.
The vehicle will have front end damage, police said.
