Female suspect released after drugs charges, man held

Durham Police yesterday said a male and female are facing drug charges after police stop a vehicle in Oshawa.

On Saturday, April 29 at around 11:50 pm, members from Central East Division stopped a vehicle in relation to a highway traffic violation, said a police statement.

During the investigation, officers conducted a search of the vehicle under the provincial Cannabis Control Act and located more than 15 grams of Fentanyl, 45 Oxycodone pills, 10 grams of methamphetamine, 5 grams of cocaine and 3 grams of cannabis. Officers also seized a quantity of Canadian currency.

The female suspect from Oshawa was charged and released on an undertaking.

The male suspect, also from Oshawa, was charged and held for bail hearing.
