Four armed robbers hit IDA store in Whitby

Durham Police investigators are looking for four suspects following the robbery of a drug store in Whitby on Thursday afternoon.

On June 17 at approximately 4:40 pm, members of Central West Division were called to the I.D.A pharmacy on Dundas Street near Garrard Road. The four suspects, armed with knives, entered the store and made a demand for cash and narcotics from the employees. The four males then fled the area in a silver Toyota Rav4.

The victims did not receive any physical injuries. Officers searched the area, with negative results.

The suspects are described as four Black males, three males were wearing all black clothing, a fourth was wearing all grey clothing.

Anyone with surveillance or dash-cam video in the area at the time of the incident or anyone with new information about this investigation is asked to contact the Investigative Services-Robbery Unit at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5355.
