GO train suspension on part of Lakeshore East on weekend

Metrolinx has announced that on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7, Lakeshore East rail service will be temporarily suspended between Danforth GO and Union Station to allow for critical track work along the corridor.

Regular service will resume on Monday, April 8 for the Lakeshore East line.

During this weekend, Lakeshore East trains will continue to run every 30 minutes between Durham College GO and Danforth GO stations.

  • If you are travelling to Union Station: Exit the train at Danforth GO and connect to TTC at Main Station, which is located one block north of Danforth GO.
  • If you are travelling from Union Station: Take TTC to Main Station and connect to trains at Danforth GO, which is located one south of Main Station.

Metrolinx said it is continuing track integration work on the east section of Union Station Rail Corridor for the Ontario Line. It will also be testing and commissioning railway infrastructure.
