A 20-year-old male was robbed at gunpoint in Pickering by two masked males who later removed a quantity of money from his bank account on Tuesday.
On August 20 at 12:05 am, the victim was walking on Fieldlight Boulevard in Pickering and was approached by two males with bandannas over their faces. One of the suspects brandished a firearm and the other demanded the victim turn over his personal belongings. The suspects then fled on foot. The victim was not physically injured.
A short time later, the victim noticed money had been withdrawn from his bank account.
Suspect #1 is described as male, approximately 6′ tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black and white bandanna over his face, a black hoodie, black pants and black shoes.
Suspect #2 is described as male, approximately 5′ 8″ tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black bandanna over his face, blue spandex gloves, a black hoodie, black pants and black shoes.

Whitby Plaza Robbery
A 17-year-old male was attacked and robbed by armed suspects on the sidewalk of a Whitby plaza on Monday.
On August 19, 2019, at 4:50 pm, the victim was sitting out front of a store in the plaza at Garden Street and Meadowglen Drive when a car pulled into a parking spot. A group of suspects came out of the vehicle and attacked the victim. He was assaulted with an expandable baton and one of the suspects brandished a knife. The suspects then robbed him of his personal belongings. They fled the scene in a vehicle. The victim received minor injuries. He did not know the suspects.
Police arrived on scene and began an investigation. A partial plate was obtained by a witness and used to locate the suspect vehicle. Four people are facing charges.
Christopher Nelson, age 18 of Braebrook Drive in Whitby, a 17-year-old male, and a 15-year-old male were all charged with Robbery.
A 16-year-old male has been charged with Robbery; Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace and Assault with a Weapon.
All were released on a Promise to Appear.
