Durham Police develop custom-made dog bite suit

Durham Police K-9 Unit will demonstrate the new training suit that was donated by the Marner Assist Fund. The custom-made bite suit features Mitch’s number 16.

About a year ago, Mitch Marner’s father, Paul, reached out to the unit donating funds to purchase K-9 training equipment for the team. He advised unit members that Mitch indicated he wanted to specifically donate equipment to the K-9 Unit. This equipment would be used to help better prepare each Police Service Dog and handler to be more operationally prepared to serve and protect the people of Durham Region.

In an attempt to recognize the generosity of Mitch and the Marner Assist Fund, handlers took it upon themselves to design a custom made, one of a kind, apprehension suit which is based around a Mitch Marner hockey uniform.
