Hallucinating man had swallowed large amounts of drugs

On July 5, at 6:35 pm, at Garden Street by Consumers Drive, in Whitby, DRPS officers were called to an unknown trouble call. The caller had ingested a large amount of drugs and was hallucinating.

Officers attended along with EMS and he was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released.

Police seized two prohibited weapons and an amount of drugs(fentanyl, and cocaine).

The 34 year old male faces charges of posession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine); posession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl); possession of a prohibited/resticted weapon knowning its possession is unauthorized x3; possession contrary to order x2 and fail to comply with release order x3. He was held for a bail hearing.
