Has your car been broken into? Anything missing?

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday called on an Oshawa area residents asking if any had property stolen to report it.

Police have found stolen property after a man was arrested with the help of the K9 Unit.

There may be other victims of this male as he was in possession of a lot of credit cards and property. If you have had items stolen from your vehicle and you live in the area of Harmony Road South between King Street East and Bloor Street East, contact 17 CIB at 888-579-1520 ext. 2739 or ext.2766, DRPS said.

It said a suspicious person was reported around 4:50 am on June 4 around Holland Avenue and Veterans Drive in Oshawa. He was observed trying vehicle door handles. When police arrived, the suspect took off on foot but was caught with the help of the K9 Unit.

He has been charged.
