Have your say on use of single-use plastics

Whitby residents have been invited to give suggestions on the use of single-use plastics in the town.

The town is asking if residents are supportive of reducing or eliminating the use of single-use plastics as it develops a plan to inform council’s decision of whether to phase out their use in the community, said an announcement.

Examples of single-use plastics include plastic straws, bags and packaging. Now through March 3, residents are invited to have their say on whether the use of such products should be reduced or eliminated locally by completing a short, online survey at whitby.ca/plasticsurvey.
