Help police find suspect of Clarington bank fraud

Durham Police is asking for help from the public to identify a male suspect for bank fraud in Bowmanville.

On January 16 at about 2 pm, an unknown male attended the TD Bank located at 570 Longworth Avenue, in Bowmanville.

The male used a fake passport in attempt to open an account within the branch. Staff recognized the identification as fake and contacted police.  The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival.

The suspect is described as: male, West Asian, 24-29 years-old, approximately 5’7”, with dark hair, and a dark coloured beard. Photo available at www.drps.ca.

Police said anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Cst. Arthurworrey of East Division at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 3736.
