How much are you willing to pay in future for Oshawa power?

Oshawa Power has launched the process of formulating how much it will charge for the supply of its services during the 2026-2030 period.

As part of the process it has launched its 2026 – 2030 Cost-of-Service Rate Application survey and is seeking customer feedback to help shape the rate application and future planning.

Prior to development and submission of the Rate Application to the Ontario Energy Board (OEB), the utility is seeking feedback from residential and commercial customers across Oshawa to better understand the needs and investment priorities of their customer base, said a company statement.

“We understand that electricity is essential to the health and wellbeing of our local community,” said Oshawa Power President & CEO, Daniel Arbour. “To continue supporting our community, we need to look to the future and meet our customer’s needs with innovative, customer-centric solutions that allow us to increase our efficiency and improve our service.”

The local utility is seeking feedback on topics such as non-traditional electricity solutions, customer service, and investments in automation and reliability.

Since launching last week, the survey has received more than 750 responses from customers across Oshawa. The survey will remain open to Oshawa Power customers until September 30. Customers are encouraged to participate and learn more about the survey at www.oshawapower.ca/2026rateapp.
