Ice cream thieves take off with six tubs

Durham Police are seeking the public’s assistance in catching two ice cream thieves.

On August 8, two suspects used bolt cutters to break into the Ice Cream Trailer at 119 King Ave W in Newcastle and attempted to steal money from the cash register. But no money was found, police said.

When the suspects realized there was no money, they caused mischief to the inside of the trailer and stole six commercial size containers of ice cream.

Suspect 1: Male, white, 30 years old, shaved head, average height, medium build, tattoo of a puzzle piece on inside of right forearm. Tattoo down back of right forearm.

Suspect 2: Male, white, 25-30 years old, long hair pulled back, tall, slim.
