‘Illustrious’ PSD Havoc passes away peacefully

Durham Regional Police Service has announced the passing away of retired police service dog (PSD) Havoc.

“It is with great sadness that D/Cst. Wayne King and the DRPS K9 Unit announce the passing of Ret. PSD Havoc. He passed peacefully with his family at his side at the age of 14,” said a DRPS tweet.

“He will be missed by his family and the members of DRPS. Rest In Peace Havoc you served with pride,” it added.

DRPS Canine Unit tweeted: “❤️GOOD BYE Havoc❤️ It is with sadness that we announce the passing of retired Police Service Dog Havoc. Havoc was responsible for locating hundreds of subjects during his illustrious 10 Yr career.

“Havoc passed away with Handler D/Cst Wayne King & Family by his side. RIP K9 Havoc!”
