Injured robbery victim reports at police station

Durham Police said a man from Oshawa arrived at Central East Division with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after being robbed on Wednesday.

On December 30 at about 6:40 am, a 57-year-old male from Oshawa entered Central East Division suffering from serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Emergency services were called and the victim was transported to a local hospital for his injury, said a police statement.

The victim advised that on December 29, he made arrangements with suspects to meet the following morning at an address on Maplewood Drive. Upon entering the residence, the victim was confronted and one of the suspects produced a knife and made a demand for money. When the victim attempted to leave, all three suspects assaulted the victim. Eventually the victim fled the residence and attended the police station to report the incident, police said.

Members of Central East Division with the assistance of their Criminal Investigations Bureau, and the Tactical Support Unit executed a search warrant at the residence and located the three suspects who were arrested.

Joshua King, age 31, of Maplewood Drive in Oshawa has been charged with: Aggravated Assault; Robbery; Uttering Threats; Assault with a Weapon; Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose; Possession of Methamphetamine (x2); Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Fail to Comply with Probation (x3). He was held for a bail hearing.

Jamie Leclair, age 44, of Maplewood Drive in Oshawa has been charged with: Aggravated Assault; Robbery; Assault with a Weapon; Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose; and Fail to Comply with Probation. He was held for a bail hearing.

Jessica Capesky, age 39, of Raike Drive in Oshawa has been charged with: Aggravated Assault; Robbery; Assault with a Weapon; Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose; and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. She was held for a bail hearing.
