Interval between first and second doses extended

Durham Region Health Department yesterday issued a brief notification that the Ontario government has extended the interval time between the first and second doses of Covid-19 vaccine.

It said the extension was based on a recommendation from the National Advisory Committee on Immunization.

It said residents who have an appointment for a second dose, will be notified of the new date soon.

Durham Health did not mention the new period between the first and second doses. The National Advisory Committee earlier this month had recommended extending the interval to up to four months.
