32-year old driver dies after crashing into a tree

A 32-year-old male was fatally injured after being involved in a motor vehicle collision in Uxbridge on Friday.

On March 12 at about 10:58 pm, members of North Division, were called to Regional Road 39 west of Uxbridge Concession Road 3 in Uxbridge for a report of a single motor vehicle collision. The male driver was operating the motor vehicle eastbound on Regional Road 39 when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree, said a police statement.

The motor vehicle incurred severe damage, trapping the male driver inside. Emergency Services attended the scene but the driver had already succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only occupant of the motor vehicle, the statement said.

Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The area was closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
