K9 Summit helps save distraught woman’s life

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) K-9 Unit was at the fore again, this time helping save a distraught woman’s life.

PC Dever, K9 Summit and DRPS West Division members teamed up to track and locate a distraught female who had threatened to end her life, said a police tweet.

After a detailed search, K9 Summit located the female in dense brush.

She was then taken to hospital for the mental health assistance she needed, the tweet added.

It did not provide any further details.
