Kids escape with minor injuries in horrific crash

Drivers and three children miraculously escaped with minor injuries in a horrific two-car crash which trashed both vehicles.

The two vehicle collision happened Tuesday night at 11:35 pm at Rossland Road East and Brock Street North in Whitby.

Police said both drivers are facing charges.

It said emergency services were on scene and multiple parties were transported to local hospital with minor injuries.

“Thank you to all our emergency services partners,” it tweeted.

Colin Williamson of Durham Region First Responders Breaking News, who took the images, said it was an “incredible job” by Whitby Fire, Durham Paramedic and DRPS “at getting the patients the care they need as quickly as possible. 3 children were transported to the hospital and thanks to the work of our first responders everyone should make a full recovery”.

  1. Was this actually at Civic Center Dr and Rossland? That’s a bad intersection. Watched a full size pick up pull out of the rec centre and t-boned a car. Scary.
