Lane restrictions in Whitby and Scugog

The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Victoria Street (Regional Road 22) in the Town of Whitby.

  • When: Saturday, July 25 from 8 am to 7 pm.
  • Where: Victoria Street, at the intersection of South Blair Street, in the Town of Whitby. Victoria Street will be reduced to one lane in both directions at the intersection of South Blair Street.
  • Why: To safely construct a new watermain.

Note: The region realizes that the construction work will be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.

Lane restrictions on Nonquon River Bridge

The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of ongoing lane restrictions on Nonquon River Bridge, which connects Reach Street (Regional Road 8) over the Nonquon River, in the Township of Scugog.

  • When: Ongoing until further notice.
  • Where: Nonquon River Bridge, which connects Reach Street (Regional Road 8) over the Nonquon River, 0.45 km west of Highway 12 in the Township of Scugog.
  • Why: To ensure the safety of bridge users.

Note: A temporary traffic signal will be installed to maintain one lane of traffic for both directions. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
