Durham Region is advising residents of upcoming lane shifts on Thickson Road North in Whitby.
From August 11 to 22, daytime-only lane shifts will be in place on Thickson Road North (Regional Road 26), between Glengowan Street and approximately 250 metres north of Conlin Road.
One lane in each direction will remain open, with travel lanes shifted to maintain the flow of traffic.
According to the region, the shifts are necessary to safely complete a soils investigation in support of local development.
