Late for Exam: Took left turn lane to recklessly overtake

Just because you’re late for an exam doesn’t mean it’s okay to drive recklessly.

A driver used an occupied left turn lane to pass vehicles, then continued to pass carelessly as a traffic officer was attempting to catch up, said a police alert.

It said the driver was charged accordingly. No further details were released.

‘Designated Driver’ found impaired

Declaring you’re a designated driver back from a party does not mean you don’t have to take a breath test during a traffic stop.

Two drinking and driving charges in Port Perry at night a couple of days ago.

One driver got a three-day licence suspension, the other ‘designated’ driver was charged with exceeding, and got a 90-day licence suspension and seven-day vehicle impound.
