Masseur charged with sexual assualt, freed on undertaking

A male employed as a massage therapist has been arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting a client in Ajax.

On Wednesday, October 2, members of the West Division Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB), began an investigation into a male employed as a massage therapist at a physiotherapy business located in the area of Harwood Avenue South and Emperor Street. A female client contacted police after she was sexually assaulted on several occasions, while receiving treatment from the suspect.

On Thursday, October 24, members of CIB concluded their investigation and took the suspect into custody.

A male, age 50 from Whitby, was charged and released on an undertaking. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.

Police have concerns there may be other victims.
