No forecast yet for snow in Durham for Christmas day

Environment Canada issued a winter weather travel advisory in effect for overnight last night for Durham.

A swath of snow was expected to move through the region from west to east last evening and continue into the night, said the advisory.

Total snowfall accumulations of 2 to 5 cm can be expected by the time the snow tapers off overnight.

Accumulating snow on untreated roadways may impact travel and motorists are advised to exercise caution, said Environment Canada.

Rain is forecast for Christmas Day.
