A male is in custody after he was located by police at an intersection, unresponsive in his vehicle with a firearm in his lap.
On Sunday, May 26 at around 5 am, members of West Division responded to a check on well being call in the area of Whites Road and Highway 401.
The male was reportedly passed out in the driver’s seat of his vehicle through numerous intersection light changes. Police approached the vehicle and saw a firearm on his lap, said a police report.
The male exhibited signs of alcohol impairment and was taken into custody without incident, after the firearm was safely removed from his possession.
The male, age 42 from Pickering was charged and held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
