Man held for rash of thefts at an Oshawa arena

A man is facing numerous charges after stealing items from the Tribute Communities Center in Oshawa.

On several occasions since September 2, several incidents of theft were reported to DRPS from within the Tribute Communities Center on Athol Street in Oshawa. The suspect was observed on video surveillance stealing electronics and one occasion, stealing several alcohol bottles. Investigators were able to identify the suspect and on September 11, the suspect was arrested without incident.

Dylan Thorpe, age 26 of No Fixed Address is charged with: Break and Enter x3; Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 x2 and Fail to Comply with Probation x3. He was held for a bail hearing. Several of the stolen items have been returned.
