Man held with 15-rounds in gun, drugs worth $80K

One male suspect is facing drug and firearm charges following an investigation by the Community Response Team.

On May 20, members from the Central East Community Resource Team arrested a male after it was learned he was trafficking controlled substances in downtown Oshawa. Upon arrest the male was found to be in possession of a Sig Sauer handgun, which was loaded with 15 rounds of ammunition and a large quantity of controlled substances. Subsequently, a search warrant was executed at the male’s residence on Celina Street in Oshawa, said a police statement.

Police seized a quantity of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine with a street value of approximately $80,000. The firearm, ammunition and approximately $3000 in Canadian currency was also seized.
