Stephanie LeBlanc is the Green Party of Ontario candidate for the Riding of Whitby in the provincial election scheduled for June 2nd.
LeBlanc was born, raised, and lives and works in Whitby with her family. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies and is currently studying Environmental Technology at Durham College.
The MPP hopeful says her decision to run stems from her growing concerns, along with those of many Ontarians, that we need to do more to address the fundamental issues that face us today: climate anxiety, affordability and housing, the mental health crisis, and electoral reform.
“The Green Party has the platform that addresses the climate crisis, affordability, and the rights of indigenous people. We cannot allow more time to pass before taking strong and decisive action to improve the lives of all Ontarians,” said Leblanc.
“The Green Party can push the government out of the status quo and towards the better, greener future that we all need. I’m honoured to be running for the Green Party of Ontario. I will work hard to bring the voice of Whitby to Queen’s Park, where we have been ignored for too long,” she added.
