Durham Police yesterday said a male is in custody and another is wanted after a male was struck with a firearm at a bar in Pickering.
On Sunday, September 21 at about 1:30 am, members of West Division responded to an armed person call at the Knights Corner Pub and Grill, located at 605 Kingston Road.
Two males assaulted the victim and struck him with a firearm before fleeing the area. Officers arrived on scene and located the victim suffering from serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported to a Toronto area hospital.
A short time later officers located one of the suspects and took him into custody without incident. The second suspect was not located.
The arrested suspect, age 35 of Wasaga Beach was charged and held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
The wanted suspect is described as: male, Black, approximately 6’2” tall, wearing all black.
