Wanted with weapons ban for life, held with gun in satchel

Durham police yesterday said a male is facing numerous charges after a firearm and drugs were located in his possession when he was arrested in Uxbridge.

On Friday, December 26 at about 9 pm, members of North Division located a male wanted on an outstanding warrant. Officers took the male into custody and located a firearm in a satchel the suspect was wearing. The firearm was loaded and had a prohibited extended magazine attached. Drugs were also located in the suspect’s possession, police said.

This male was already bound by court conditions prohibiting the possession of any weapon, firearm or ammunition for life.

The suspect, age 27 of No Fixed Address was charged and held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
