Marsh body is of missing 40-year-old Oshawa female

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday said they have been able to identify the body that was found in Clarington marshes east of Oshawa.

Investigators have confirmed that the body recovered from a marshy area near Townline Road North in Clarington on June 9th is that of a missing 40-year-old Oshawa female, last seen on March 29th, said a DRPS tweet.

“No foul play is suspected,”it added.

Police had twice issued an appeal to find the missing woman.

The woman of No Fixed Address, was reported missing by family members on May 8. She was last seen on March 29, by her family as they dropped her off near a residence in Oshawa. The missing female was known to frequent the Oshawa and Courtice area of Durham Region. She had not made any contact with family members or friends.
