A body was recovered from the marshes in Clarington, according to Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS).
Investigators from DRPS East Division Criminal Investigations Bureau, have confirmed they located a deceased party and this is now a sudden death investigation.
“Our forensics investigators are still working at the scene. We will have further updates as the investigation moves forward, police said.
It earlier said in Clarington near Townline Road South [?] by Beatrice Street East was an active police investigation, where the Forensic Identification Unit and Marine Unit officers were assisting. “More info to follow shortly,” SRPS said.
No further information was released till early this morning.
