Mobike with fake plate, no licence, the list goes on…

It may be a common belief – or misbelief – that motorcyclists get away with a lot more than car drivers do, especially when one sees them weaving in and out of traffic at high speeds on highways.

But is not always true, according to DRPS Traffic Services.

What not to do: operate a motorcycle with fake plate, no licence, and the list goes on, said a tweet from officers.

It said the fake plate (image above) was seized and driver educated by way of enforcement after lane splitting by an officer, failing to stop for a red light and eventually parking at the mall where the officer stopped them.

No further details were made available.

Zipping by patrol car

DRPS Traffic Services also reported that while a cruiser was driving along the City of Pickering in a posted 80 kmh zone, this car (image below) overtook the officer at a rate of speed 44 kmh over the limit.

The traffic stop occurred right next to this sign….
