Multiple shots fired after dispute on Ajax Street

Durham police investigators are trying to identify the people involved in a dispute on an Ajax street that led to multiple shots being fired. No injuries were reported.

On Monday, September 7 at about 5:15 pm, officers were called to Bolland Crescent in Ajax regarding multiple gunshots being heard. Witnesses observed a male getting into a dark-coloured Toyota Corolla on Bolland Street. The vehicle travelled a short distance and was moving slowly when the same male got out of the vehicle. When the vehicle began driving away, the male starting shooting at it, said a police statement.

The male then ran to a Chrysler 300 sedan parked nearby, got in it and left the area. Shell casings were recovered from the scene and no victims have come forward at this time, police said.

Vehicle #1 is described as an older model, four-door, black Toyota Corolla. Three males were seen inside this vehicle, all described as Arab/West Asian, 20-30 years old. The male who entered and then exited this vehicle and fired several shots from a handgun is described as a male, white, 20-30 years old, 6′ tall with a slender build and a light/fair complexion.

Vehicle #2 is described as a dark grey, four-door Chrysler 300, with dark rims. The male suspect got into this vehicle after shooting and the vehicle was seen leaving the area round eastbound on Bolland Crescent.
