Naked man with multiple stab wounds ‘uncooperative’

Durham Police are investigating after a man was found in Oshawa suffering from multiple stab wounds on Monday night.

On December 9 at 10:10 pm, members of Central East Division responded to an unknown trouble call on the northwest corner of Simcoe Street and Bloor Street in Oshawa. A naked male was seen in the area with multiple injuries and he was screaming, said a police media release.

Officers arrived and located a 37-year-old Oshawa male. He was treated at the scene by Region of Durham Paramedic Services before being transported to an area hospital in stable condition. He was later transferred to a Toronto trauma centre with multiple serious – but non-life threatening – injuries, it added.

The male has been uncooperative and the investigation into what caused the wounds is underway. A potential crime scene was located at a house on Lviv Boulevard in Oshawa.

Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to contact D/Cst. Kelly of the Central East Division Criminal Investigations Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2783.
