Ajax toolkit for impacted businesses, workers

The Town of Ajax said it is making it easier for businesses and job-seekers to access resources, supports and services with Ajax Works.

Developed to assist both employers that have been forced to downsize or close, and those who have experienced job loss, the online toolkit – ajax.ca/ajaxworks – provides a how-to guide for starting a business, training, financial supports and skill development.

Ajax Works seven key tools include:

  • Local Job Boards & Fairs
  • Reskill and/or upskill opportunities
  • Local post-secondary institutions programs
  • Resume and interview skill development
  • Starting a business
  • Financial support
  • Ajax Public Library services

“The Town of Ajax is committed to continued service improvements and programming that best serve the needs of our community. In light of the significant and ongoing challenges posed by Covid-19, it was important to us to release this resource to ensure our residents and businesses have timely access to the supports and tools they need. I encourage those businesses that have additional questions or need further assistance to reach out to our Economic Development team directly,” said Ajax Mayor Shaun Collier.

Ajax Works Suite of Employment Resources provides access to tools, services and supports that are available from local employment agencies, post-secondary institutions and various levels of government.

As new resources and opportunities become available, Ajax Works will be updated.
