Town of Whitby yesterday announced it is waiving application fees for restaurants and businesses wishing to set up patios.
It also promised expedited approval process to get the patios up and running quickly.
“With warmer weather on its way, the town wants to make it easier for local businesses during the pandemic by waiving application fees and extending the expedited approval and permitting process,” a tweet by the town.
No further details were made available.
Ajax too has announced fast-tracked Temporary Patio Permit Program. As in 2020, the program features no application fee and a quick turnaround to enable restaurants to expand their patios quickly and cost effectively.
