Oshawa planning to extend Harmony Creek Trail

The City of Oshawa yesterday announced it is preparing to extend the existing Harmony Creek Trail from Esterbrook Drive North to Conlin Road.

This extension will include a pedestrian bridge over the creek and a pedestrian crossing at Woodstream Avenue, said a city statement.

This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada.

The city said it is seeking comments related to the accessibility of the recreational trail, such as rest areas, viewing areas, and amenities along the trail.

The trail is a 4 km paved multi-use recreational trail that travels along the Harmony Creek. It is surrounded by nature and lush vegetation with access to Donevan Recreation Complex and a number of parks including Farewell Park and Eastbourne Park.

Users can also connect on road to other recreational trails such as the Joseph Kolodzie Oshawa Creek Bike Path and the Michael Starr Trail.
