Oshawa seeks feedback on its online services

Oshawa is preparing an Information Technology Services Plan (the Plan) that will define the city’s strategic goals for information technology for the next three years.

The plan will help identify appropriate technology to deliver and improve service to its customers and the corporation, said a city statement.

Municipal best practices, the impact of emerging technologies and input from City Council, city staff, community stakeholders and the public are being considered in development of the plan.

Oshawa invited the public to provide feedback on their experience with current city online services and online services being considered for the future. Feedback can be shared by completing a feedback form:

The deadline to provide feedback is 4:00 pm, Wednesday, November 20, 2019. Feedback received will be considered in the development of the plan and the action plan that will be presented to the Corporate Services Committee, said the statement.

“Feedback on user experience will be very useful in ensuring that the goals and action plan identified for the Information Technology Strategic Plan reflect community needs,” said Councillor Bradley Marks, Chair of the Corporate Services Committee. “Your input will help us improve our services.”

“We encourage community members to share their feedback on the City of Oshawa’s current and future online services. Your valuable feedback will help guide improvements to service delivery,” says Councillor Jane Hurst, Vice-Chair of the Corporate Services Committee.
