Durham police are searching for a male suspect following a sexual assault in Oshawa.
On Tuesday, November 4 at about 9:40 pm, members of Central West Division responded to a sexual assault call in the area of Adelaide Avenue and Thornton Road.
The suspect knocked on the front door of a resident he is familiar with to ask if he could park his vehicle on their property. The suspect then asked the victim if he could use their washroom, police said.
Once the suspect entered the residence, he physically assaulted the victim before exposing himself. The victim was able to flee the residence and contact police. The suspect fled the area in a silver sedan prior to police arrival.
The suspect, aged 50, is described as being dangerous. He is currently wanted for assault, assault by Choking, Sexual Assault with a Weapon, Forcible Confinement, and Unlawfully in Dwelling House.
Authorities are asking if you see the suspect, please do not approach and immediately contact police.
