Oshawa stabber identified, warrant issued

Durham police investigators in Oshawa have issued a warrant for a suspect after a stabbing incident on Tuesday morning.

On April 28 at about 9:05 am, members of Central East Division responded to the area of Simcoe and John Street in Oshawa for a stabbing. Police found the victim with a minor stab wound to his arm. The victim and the suspect were involved in a verbal dispute prior to the male victim being stabbed. The suspect fled on foot. Police searched the area with negative results, police said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect and the victim are known to each other, they added.

Investigators have issued a warrant for Kennedy Kentner, age 18, of No Fixed Address, for Aggravated Assault; Possess Weapons Dangerous; Assault with a Weapon and Fail to Comply x3.
