The Joseph Kolodzie Oshawa Creek Trail will experience a temporary closure to allow for the replacement of a pedestrian bridge south of Bloor Street East.
The closure is scheduled to take place from Monday, October 20, through to Friday, February 13, 2026.
The affected section of the Joseph Kolodzie Oshawa Creek Trail runs from the north side of Bloor Street East to Erie Street.
This work is part of Contract No. O 25-06, which the City of Oshawa has awarded to Fidelity Engineering and Construction.
- Work Scope: The project involves the complete replacement of the existing pedestrian bridge situated just south of Bloor Street.
- Hours of Operation: Regular construction activities will occur between 7 am and 5 pm, Monday to Friday, throughout the closure period.
- Impact: For public safety, the specified section of the trail must be closed. Local residents should expect increased noise levels due to the movement of heavy equipment, which will access the site from Bloor Street East.
